Weekend

Friday

Went home after work last Friday. Nothing much to talk about.

Saturday

Woke up at 9.30am because I was supposed to meet a phone buyer at 10am at Yio Chu Kang Stadium. As I was meeting my buyer, I met Derrick, my former secondary classmate. He was on his way to the gym and since I had planned to go jogging after selling my phone, I decided I should join him in the gym. I paid $2.50 for entry and $1 for a towel that was necessary. I headed for the thread mill first. It’s the first time I’m using one of these, I’m suarku I know. I had planned to jog 2.4km but after 2.1km I couldn’t take it anymore. I was panting like mad, and as I stepped off the thread mill I started to get dizzy. Derrick told me the air in the gym is thin so he accompanied me out of the gym to the balcony to catch my breath. After awhile we went back in and I tried some weights, my arms started to ache after awhile haha. So I decided I didn’t want to stay anymore so we left together and headed to KFC in Ang Mo Kio for lunch. After lunch we both headed home.

I slept throughout half the rest of the afternoon and went to meet Sam after her work. We first headed for Orchard because I was supposed to meet another buyer of my phone. We walked around and couldn’t compromise on what to eat for dinner. I wanted to eat Yakitori lunchbox but she wanted crystal jade. But finally we ended up eating Yakitori lunchbox haha.

After selling my phone and eating dinner, we went to Toa Payoh to watch brother bear. It's a touching, funny, inspiring cartoon…after all it's a Disney cartoon. After the movie I sent Sam home, and while at her carpark, she realized that her dad’s van wasn’t parked there so she called them. She found out that they were at a cousin's house warming in Jalan Kayu, so I sent her there.

Guess what the highlight of my night, I saw a shooting star! For the first time in my life! I was lying on my bike while Sam was making the call behind me. I was staring at the sky when suddenly this bright light appeared. At first I thought that it was an airplane, but all of a sudden, the light flew across the sky in a flash, it's a shooting star! The whole event lasted less than a sec, I quickly told Sam about it since she was only behind me in the pillion seat but she told me she didn't see it. I quickly made a wish, a wish I won’t reveal or it might not come true!

Sometimes I cannot but have to believe in fate. For example this night, if Sam didn't realize that her family wasn't at home, then I wouldn't be lying there on my bike staring at the sky and I wouldn't have seen the shooting star. This is not the only occurrence that makes me believe that sometimes its fate that decides everything in life. How about the guy that was riding his motorbike on the road when at that point and at that time when he was passing, a tree fell on him and his bike? What if he had dilly dally for just 1 minute at his carpark before moving off? Then he would have missed the tree by one minute! Anyone here believes in fate too?

Sunday

Went for mass as usual in the morning with Puss and ate lunch with him. After that we went on to find a pirate in the area because he needed games for his new computer. The old stores that were around closed down, but we still managed to find and so he bought his games. After lunch I went to meet Sam. We went to watch another movie, Duplex. Its a stupid show with a dumb storyline, the whole show made little sense and I didn’t really enjoy it at all. If you guys haven caught it yet, please don’t bother. But I did catch Scary Movie 3’s trailer before the movie and it’s a must catch! It sure looked darn funny, who cares if it’s RA? Must watch!

Anyway did you guys watch David Blaine Vertigo? He is such an amazing magician. He made my jaw drop and my eyes wide open. There was one trick where he took a picnic goer's empty beer can, rub it once and it became a brand new sealed can filled with real beer. There was even the pop sound of a sealed can opening when he opened it. The picnic goer then tasted the “new” can of beer with a bewildered face, laughing and amazed at the same time. In another trick, he somehow made this passerby's watch appear in a shop's display behind a glass window without her knowing. After that he took a newspaper, put it against the glass window; extend his hands through the newspaper and glass window and took out the watch. Wow.
