Little shop of horrors

Watched dim sum dollies the little shop of horrors on wednesday. It was held at Victoria theatres and it was to be their last performance. Before the show, Mum, Sis and i had dinner at One Fullerton's Black Angus Steakhouse. I've only eaten there one other time and although it was years ago, i can still vividly remember the taste of their beef stew..yummy! A pity they didn't have it this time that we went, but they did have the steak soup which is somewhat similiar only not as nice.

Anyway Dim Sum Dollies wasn't as fantastic as i expected it to be. The play was about the male lead Hossan Leong who found a weird plant and it brought in a lot of business for the flower shop that he was working in. The plant grew bigger and bigger each day feeding on his blood. Hossan Leong became a celebrity overnight because of the plant. He fell in love with his colleague at the flower shop who had a bf (Lim Yu Beng) who likes to abuse her physically. One day, Hossan killed Yu Beng and fed him to the man eating plant. A crappy storyline indeed, i don't even know why i'm typing it out and why you're reading this...too bad you've read it. Haha

The rest of the week was eventless..nothing much worth mentioning. Had a mini BIT reunion just now though. Met up with Sham, Henry, Swee Long, Cecilia, Darien and Chandran for a drink and chit chat. It was nice..we should do this more often!

On top of the world

Met up with Sham, Valen and some of her friends yesterday. Actually planned to watch Casino Royale but Valen and friends weren't too keen on the show so we ended up watching Step Up instead. We couldn't get tickets at Cine at first so we walked all the way to Lido. Its such a small world. While we were walking there, we bummed into Puss, Zhenming and Anna. They were on their way to forum for dinner and so we caught up abit.

Apparently, one of Valen's friends was one of the top few in last season's project superstar but i didn't recognize her haha. Anyway, Valen doesn't want me to talk about it so i shall not! Hehe. Step up turned out to be quite a cool show. Its about this guy who spends much of his life idling and doing stupid things. He was caught one day vandalising Maryland School of Arts. He was then punished to do community service there for 200 hours. Yup, you guessed it, he ended up falling for a girl there and dancing for some school performance there. Its one of those show that makes you wish you could actually dance well haha.

After movie, they wanted to chill out while i wanted to watch soccer, so we ended up at Boat Quay. I hope i didn't bore the group though because all the while, only Sham and I was watching soccer till KKH came along much later.

Slept for barely 5 hours before i had to wake up for my vertical marathon today! I didn't get the jitters like i did when i was getting ready for my AHM because i underestimated this marathon. I was thinking, afterall, its only a short torture..15-20mins at most? It was only when i was doing the marathon that i realised how wrong i was. I was already panting like a dog at around 20 storeys. At around 50th storeys, i was literally pulling myself up using the side railings. At some point i even felt like giving up...haha it was hell...i never felt this tired before running 21km. This is really a different kind of torture...and i didn't train prior to this marathon..what a mistake. I ended up last among Puss and Weijian. I completed this 73 storeys in 15mins compared to Puss's 13mins and Weijian's 10mins. I feel so embarrassed. I was even thinking if i should blog about my timing..i chose to in the end haha.

Had breakfast at Hong Kong's Cafe after the marathon while waiting for our certs. After collecting our certs, we went to plan lan for a short while before going home. I need to rest now!

Leave plan

Spent yesterday studying at NUS with Weijian. Reached there somewhere in the afternoon and was curious by the presence of many policemen there. It was only later that i found out that President George Bush will be visiting the place later in the late afternoon for a talk. Its a pity i didn't get an invitation because i would love to be part of it haha.

After studying, i went for class but met Weijian again after class because he suggested playing lan, something we haven done in quite some time. I actually read about a new version of the game battlefield recently. Its battlefield futuristic or something, you can now use meg warriors to battle soldiers, tanks and choppers..how cool is that. Was looking forward to playing it but unfortunately, the lan shop don't have the game yet.

Just spent my afternoon watching Jarhead. One of the war shows that was in the cinemas somewhere last year. Its a wonder why i didn't go catch it in the cinemas because i'm a big fan of war shows. Anyway i got the DVD from Puss and although it wasn't a great show, it did remind me of my training time in the army..its so real. The show didn't have enough action to make it great. In fact, Jake Gyllenhaal and his gang did not even engage any enemies in the show..how disppointing.

I'll be catching the local musical The little shop of horrors starring Dim Sum Dollies next week. I've no idea why i've been addicted to concerts, stage plays and musicals recently, but its not a bad thing! It shows that i've matured! Hehe. Been itching to play tennis these days..shall organise one session soon.

No signboard

I guess the fats i shedded this morning has all been put back on me again. I just went for dinner with my mum and since its her birthday i wanted to treat her to something good. She suggested eating crabs..something she has always liked so i brought her to No Signboard at Geylang.

Dinner was not at all disappointing. Service was good, the food was good, nearly everything else was good. We ordered chilli crab, drunken prawn and mussels. Poor prawns though..they made them drunk in front of us. They were still alive and jumping around when they served us. Being the photo whore that i am, i wanted to take a last picture of them before they go on to meet the King of Hades, so i took away the cover that was covering the bowl that they were in and aimed my shot. As i did that, one stupid prawn jumped out of the bowl and landed on the floor haha. It was an embarrassing moment, i quickly tried to catch it and when i finally did, i tried to wash it in the bowl of lemon water meant for washing our hands haha. Luckily, the waiter came and saved me. He took the stupid prawn away and had it washed. Anyway, the stupid prawn's efforts ended up futile as he and his friends were all cooked in front of us and eaten by us. Its either in my mum's or my stomach now haha.

Anyway happy birthday again Mummy i love you! Hehe.

Happy birthday Mum Bon Voyage Sis!

Met Puss again on Sunday with the intention to study. But don't be mistaken, we really did manage to study this time only that we were not too productive lol. We had a hard time deciding where to study at first before we decided to go to the airport, one of our favourite study hang outs in the past. As the parking charges at the airport are ridiculous, i parked my car at Tampines and we took bus 27 from there. Puss wanted to study at the viewing gallery but it was packed with families and many other type of people so we ended up studying at Burger King instead. After studying, we were supposed to go for a run at East Coast but decided not to in the end because we just didn't feel like it. Instead, we ended up at Parkway Parade where we gorged ourselves with good food and shopped.

The new sky train!

On it

I am a bad boy, i skipped class again yesterday. But for a good reason of course! My family celebrated my mum and ah dio's birthday yesterday at AUD's house! It has been such a long time since i've joined them for any such event and it sure felt good seeing all of them.

Good food

Everybody gorging on it

Happy birthday to Mum and Ah Dio!

Not to feel guilty after Sunday's exercise failure though, because we more than made up for it today. I had to wake up early in the morning 5am today because i had to fetch my sister to the airport. She flew to Hong Kong for a holiday with Kok Bin and his family, how i envy them, i wished i was the one going instead! Lol. Anyway after sending them off, i went to fetch Pussy and we ended up at East Coast where he decided he want to run all the way to East Coast Macs this time. Not a good idea, although i didn't walk throughout the run, i was super shagged after it. It must had been around 15-16km because we jogged for 92 mins. After the run, we walked around the cc looking for a place to get drinks and ended up downing 2 cans of 100 plus each. If you understand what i mean...the feeling after drinking those 2 cans of 100 plus was like woooh...someone no words can describe haha! At that point of time, i guess we were willing to pay up to $5 for each can of 100 plus, now thats consumer's utility!

After a good bath, Puss craved for Dim Sum and he recommended this chinese restaurant somewhere off MS. The name of the restaurant was Red Star. Although the Dim Sum wasn't excellent, it still tasted delicious after the long run in the morning.

Like i said before, there'll always a good picture after a good day of exercise!

Wind of change

I cleared my Deepavali off on Thursday. Decided to use the free day to clear and revamp my room. Well, my room has been a bit of a mess for quite some time now and its irking me. I also decided that i should shift around my furniture to change the fengshui. Things hasn't been going well for me this year and i need to do something about it! Lol. Anyway i found lots of old stuff including my fandi ahmad, abbas saad, michael vana, malek awak etc football cards haha. I really wonder how much they are worth now. I threw away one whole bunch of poly notes and lots of unwanted stuff..my room feels so much neater now!

This is how much rubbish i cleared

New fengshui new beginning!

Friday was range day. Range was held at Nee Soon Camp this time. I'm so glad i didn't have to be store IC this time because i was attached to Selarang Camp the past few days. Anyway i nearly screwed up my test for the marksmanship. We had 16 shots in the day and i only managed to get 11! There was then another 12 shots at night and to get marksman, you have to get at least 23 out of the 28 shots in total. Which means i cannot afford to miss any shot at night! I was so afraid that i used all of my concentration and held my breath for every single shot trying very hard not to miss. Luckily my efforts paid off as i managed to get full marks at night. That also means that i'm going to be $200 richer very soon wooh! But that has yet to be confirmed lah. Screw them.

Was supposed to meet Puss today to study but my sister took my car and came back late. So we decided to cancel studying and just go for dinner straight. I met him at Suntec after he went to Swissotel to collect our vertical marathon's goody bags. We then went to eat Muthu's Curry at Suntec. Had fish head curry, some fried chicken and naan...and i must say they were all quite good!

Muthu's fish head curry

It was a high class muthu curry restaurant

After dinner, we went to the motor show. There ain a lot of cars this year as many of the continental brands didn't exhibit. But we still managed to take lots of pictures and drool over both ladies and cars haha.

Super dream car! Lambo convertible!

My other dream car that is still beyond reach

Some of the so call motor babes were terrible looking. Bus or train buanged quality

Yup its a motor show. There were motorcycles too!

I actually managed to dwaft a big bike..hmmm

For the guys

I was so bored yesterday i "flipped" through my blog archive. I realised what an interesting blog i've written! Lol. I read about days that i don't even remember myself spending. Seriously, you guys should start blogging too if you enjoy reminiscing just like me! You can actually read about when you did this or that right down to the actual date...its really cool. My blog has come a long way from how it began 3 years ago. It used to be just words words and more words, but recently i try to add as many pictures since i have a camera phone now. I hope to attract more readers in time to come..its just like promoting a business..its so fun haha.

Today is my last day at Selarang. The whole time, i was wasting my time there, we did practically nothing. They didn't really need our help seriously, i've no idea why my OC sent us there. Whatever it is...i didn't mind haha.

Just came back from the cc together with Bernerd and Puss. We ran slightly further this time, all the way to the food centre. We should have covered something like 11-12km? As we were about to go for our swim, we saw Jackie driving in. Its really a small world, he came to use the gym. Anyway, i swam 6 laps today using freestyle. After the 6 laps, my arms were aching and i can feel my chest expanding haha. I seriously don't understand how people can swim so far and continously using freesytle..its so damn tiring. After another good day of exercise, we went to fill our stomaches at Bedok Central hawker centre. I will be continuing my rest tomorrow sleeping at home because i'll be on off!

A bunch of my guys at my unit ORDed today. Would actually like to dedicate a portion here to remind myself of them. Afterall, they were the one that went through thick and think together with me for the past 1 year plus in the unit. Here are some pictures. Reminisce guys!
