I don't make sense

Met up with my poly mates to attend this retro night thingy held at Temasek poly for the alumnis last friday. My former care teacher Ms Pearl Teng was nice enough to help buy tickets for us after i managed to get most of those from my clique to join me. The night turned out to be alright..we paid $5 and we not only got to meet people, hear some old music, reminisce but even managed to enjoy a small buffet and even some night souvenirs and coupons.

I won a prize with my teacher's ticket! She gave it to me because she left early haha

The girls got bored after awhile and convinced us to leave. We soon made our way to this pub at East Coast call BFD i think. Its just beside 7-Elevens and MacDonalds. There's a live band there and although we didn't really watch them perform, we did listen and they sound bad.

On Saturday, i had dinner with my mum and sister at this restaurant called the Humble House at Esplanade. And i can tell you they definitely not humble. Although their food is unique, they are all freaking ex! Whats more the servings are small..i don't know what came over us but we ordered this sharks fins soup that cost $58 for just a small claypot of it. The whole bill came out to be around $197..incredible but true. Don't go there unless you feel rich. To think that day some couple was holding their wedding dinner there..i wonder how much it cost..but i'm sure the food is good..good choice.

After dinner, Weijian jioed me for his faculty's bash held at St James Power Station and so i went. It was my second time there only that time time i went to Dragonfly too! Haha..famouse for their cantopop music and ah lians, unfortunately, i didn't get to see any of these that night. When i got in, this guy was performing and he can sing pretty well too. He even had the company of a few sexy dancers behind. After the singers decided they needed some rest, the music came on and it was pretty good! It wasn't cantopop like what i expected..they played r&b and some other happy dancing tunes..it was good! Too bad they weren't any babes in sight to have fun with..so we didn't stay long haha.

I managed to take some acrobatic performance at Power House

Woke up on Sunday morning to learn that it was raining and the soccer match we planned had to be cancelled...yawn... Then horsey called and asked if i wanted to have lunch at Old Airport Road. After lunch, we went to Sim Lim Square because i wanted to buy a TV tuner card for my computer so that i can watch tv on my computer and more importantly record the shows that i will miss! Managed to get a good one at $150 but it was only after 2 days before Puss helped me to get it to work just today.

After Sim Lim, Horse went back and Puss and I decided to watch a movie at Tampines Mall. This time we watched Night at the Museum. Eh..nothing much to talk about it...quite funny. Haha.

Puss and Zhenming came all the way to Ang Mo Kio Block 608 which is just opposite my place today..all because they wanted to try the Botak Jones Western food at the coffeeshop there. Apparently, they are pretty famous with branches at Clementi and even Tuas! You might have to wait for around 15-30 mins for your food after ordering..they are that popular...my mum and aunt will dapao that for me sometimes leh haha.

Seriously, i don't think i'm making sense today..and i think i've some broken sentences and english here and there. I don't have the mood to read back and edit..i think i'm going to fall sick soon..and i have ulcers and rashes..what a period!

The Peak

Came home from work on yesterday and was told by mum that they will be going out for dinner. Although i was tired i joined them anyway because i haven really dined with the whole family for a long time. The auntie that i affectionately call Ah Poh Yee joined us too..she took care of me before when i was really young. Anyway we had dinner at this Hing Hwa eatery at Maund Road near Jalan Besar. Frankly speaking i have never heard of this dialect group before yesterday and well i didn't really enjoy their food either haha. Have been feeling tired after work lately, i think i'm finally feeling the effects of not sleeping enough. Jack and Dan jioed me for wala wala tonight but i just don't have the energy to leave home haha.

On my way home, i walked past this couple at my void deck. I didn't mean to eavedrop by that woman was talking so loudly. Just as i walked past she just went: "I don't like the way you do things, i don't like your character, i don't like this i don't like that blah blah." Ok i added the this that and blah blah cause i can't remember what she said exactly. But haiyo you don't like that person so much why be with him...ridiculous.

If you didn't know..the super funny Li Nanxing and Zoe Tay show on channel 8 is over. They are now boardcasting this new serial call The Peak. It actually talks about a few characters' lives working for Keppel the oilrig making company and they actually went to Brazil to film too. Do you know that Singapore is the number 1 manufacturer of oilrigs in the world? I didn't know that fact before i took my last subject International Business..now i know! Although Singapore is that super tiny on the world map..it can be so super amazing sometimes too! Ok i'm not sucking up to my boss ok!

Apple will be launching their latest product Iphone soon! It will be like their hugely popular ipod with the capabilities of a mobile phone..whats more its beautiful! How cool is that...its bound to revolutionise the world like the ipod did. I'm sure they will give Nokia, Motorola, Samsung, Sony Ericsson, O2 etc etc a run for their money soon! I know i want one!

Bored and unlucky

Met up with Puss on saturday because i wanted to get my sis a present for her birthday. I hate shopping..especially when i don't know what i want to buy. I only got an idea of what to get at the very last minute...i settled for a gift package at body shop. There's body foam, soap, shampoo and i think some moisturiser as well..but best of all it came in a very cool and expensive looking box. I then met up with Mum, Sis and Kok bin for the dinner at Marina Mandarin's AquaMarine. It has a really nice ambience and a nice spread. It wasn't cheap though..initially i thought that it would cost only around $40 per person but it turned out to be around $58 per person...its still cheaper than the Line at Shangri-La though.

While shopping with them after dinner, i saw this $10 universal remote control Carrefour was selling. So happen, blur Mummy of mine accidentally threw away the remote control of my TV set while cleaning up...so this universal remote control might be just what we need! Anyway, this isn't the first time my mum did something so amusing. The most famous incident of all involved my cute little pet love bird who died tragically under my mum's hands. I believe most of my friends know about the incident...i don't want to talk about it anymore haha. Ok anyway, the remote control works! All it took was some simple set up and entering of some code...its really amazing..i salute the geek who invented this shit.

Played soccer on Sunday afternoon at Canberra Secondary and we were unfortunate to lose 5-4...yes a 9 goals thriller. I have yet to break my goal drought yet too..if this goes on i will have to be dropped! Reaching home after soccer, i suddenly had this craving for pizza. Saw Puss online and so happen he didn't have dinner too..i suggested checking out thejapanese pizza place called Oiishi Pizza at Upper Thomson Road. Bad mistake. Although the pizza wasn't bad, i ended up with a ticket from Cisco after parking on a white continous line somewhere near the private houses around the area. We tried their Wasabi seafood pizza and teriyaki chicken pizza..its one for one too just like Canadian Pizza. We were so full after eating a few slices we did what most people will do to the remaining pieces when bloated. No not throw them away, we forced it down our stomach leaving the crust behind haha. Oh Oiishi Pizza has this delivery service too..the number is 655555565..check it out when you have that craving like me too!

My oh My

I've been down on my luck while driving these days. Had a near accident a few days ago, got a hefty summon yesterday and i almost got a speeding ticket this morning! I was driving alone SLE at around 100km/h and suddenly i saw this TP bike parked by the road shoulder playing with his speed gun. He was shooting my direction when suddenly he mounted his bike and started moving off. I went: "Siao liao lah!" and my heart was thumping like shit. I don't want to pay for this! Fortunately, the expressway was pretty packed with cars then..so i quickly changed from lane 1 to lane 2. The TP bike went straight to lane 1 and rode past me to my super duper relief. I guess my orange bumper saved me..the TP bike had only seen the black front of my car and didn't thought anyone will be smart enough to have an orange rear so he didn't spot me! Wooh!

Came home late from work slightly later than usual today and got so bored at home after dinner i decided i shall go check out amk central. Guess what..small world. I bummed into Horse and Jocelyn. They just finished watching Curse of the Golden Flower at Jubilee. So we walked around aimlessly at boring amk central before we finally went home. I should have just stayed at home and sleep man haha.

Shocker!

Had the greatest shock of my life yesterday. Nearly got into an accident haha. You won't believe this but i fell asleep while driving. I don't know how it happened or why it happened..it just happened. I was on my way back to camp from another camp after collecting something..i was already at the road outside camp..and i just dozed off. Next thing i know..my friend started shouting "EH!" I opened my eyes to find myself drifting towards the kerb by the side of the road and quickly swerved back. A loud bang followed..i got off the car and got the great relief of my life when i found out my bumper and car was still intact. My rims were slightly scratched though..i never thought i could fall asleep while driving..dammit! Now i have a phobia.

Met up with Sham and Henry just now to catch Borat. Bummed into Gabriel and Xiaowen at the Apple shop..it has been such a long time since i've seen them so we chatted for awhile. Anyway, found the movie pretty dumb on the whole. There were however a few scenes i laughed really hard though. I thought that he was really irritating..and annoying too..there were times where i covered my mouth and asked myself: "OMG how can he do that?" I know that's pussy but yeah i did that haha.

Its my sister's birthday tomorrow and i still haven got her anything...we've reserved places at Marina Mandarin's AquaMarine..i bet it'll be good..now let me think of what to get sis.

A brand new year..year 2007!

Its really scary how quickly time flew. In a blink of an eye..its already 2007! I made a few resolutions last year but i've yet to complete them yet..so i shall keep them for this year!

Frankly speaking, 2006 hasn't been a good year for me..i think it sucked. Few things went my way. I hope this new year won't be the same..i wish for many wonderful things to happen to me!

Met up with Puss on Monday for a jog. The last time i jogged was at the Standard Chartered Marathon. So this time we jogged only 5km but it nearly killed me. I was so shagged after the run i had to sit down on the kerb immediately haha. After the run, we decided to visit the new hype up Ikea and Courts. By the time we got there, it was around 9.20pm and we wanted to eat and drink so badly. But the stupid Ikea restaurant wouldn't let us queue up because they insist that the kitchen closes at 9pm. But they were still a crowd queuing up..what would 2 more orders do to them?! Pissed off, we walked to Courts hoping to find something to eat but there was none too. Courts was really like a super big pasar malam...almost everything were on sale. With Giant set to open there soon, that place can really cater to our every needs! In the end, we ended up eating at Punggol Nasi Lemak afterwhich we met up with horsey and we went to Holland village's haagen daaz for awhile. After that, we headed down to Vivocity for a midnight movie Fast Food Nation. Well...its a movie based on a book written by Eric Schlosser. When it was published in 2001, Fast Food Nation quickly became a New York Times bestseller, with its no-holds-barred, non-fiction exploration of "the dark side of the All-American meal." There are quite a few celebrities acting the show..namely Bruce Willis, Avril Lavigne, Ethan Hawke and Greg Kinnear. The show actually tells us that there's shit in the meat..don't want to talk to much about it..watch it if you're interested.

Played soccer with the guys from Christ The King's altar servers yesterday at St Wilfreds. My friend booked the court from 1pm - 7pm..how crazy is that haha. Now my legs are all numb and aching from all that kicking and running. It has been like 5 years since i left the servers, the small boys that used to stand beside me on the santuary are now all grown up. Some of them can even kick the ball better than i now! Haha. I would like to emphasise that time really flies! Please make full use of it!

Oh the number 1 show of 2006 was Pirates of the Carribean Dead Man's Chest and the number 1 song of 2006 Fort Minor's Where you go. Not that i totally agree...but what the heck who cares haha.
