Henderson Waves

Enjoyed 1 of 2 of my off days today by visiting the much hyped about and reported on places at the moment. Yup, went to one of the 2 two pedestrian bridges Singapore officially opened last month with Ah Kor, Sis, Aud and family. The whole trail is a total of nine-kilometre chain of green, open spaces spanning the rolling hills of Mount Faber Park, Telok Blangah Hill Park and Kent Ridge Park before ending at West Coast Park.

We started off at Telok Blangah Hill Park and took a walk up to the Henderson Waves, which is also Singapore’s highest pedestrian bridge. It spans Henderson Road to connect Telok Blangah Hill Park to Mount Faber Park and thats precisely where we walked to.

Where do we go from here?

Going green on my off day..how ironic

We turned left towards Henderson Waves. Gave Alexandra Arch a miss this time

There's a steep slope you must climb to get up there

Young or old, don't worry..you can all do it

Cute little Brandon by the introduction board that greets you as you reach the bridge

Brandon couldn't see it all and so I offered helping shoulders. For someone afraid of heights, he don't look too comfortable does he?

The view on Mt Faber. Nothing new to many of you. But beautiful nevertheless

We found some time to have some fun at the fitness corner too

From Mt Faber, we walked back to Telok Blangah Hill Park where my car was parked. With my tee shirt already half wet after all those walking, Sis and the rest however didn't have enough and so we headed towards Kent Ridge Park for another walk. This other bridge aka Canopy Walk links Kent Ridge Park to the museum, Reflections of Bukit Chandu. If lucky, you will see sunbirds, doves, squirrels, and lizards along the way. All we managed were 2 woodpeckers, a spider and a cute green cameleon.

The view on top was cool

Oh you'll see a windy road there from the bridge too. Probably a much inferior rip off of Lombard Street in San Francisco

Photobucket
The real Lombard Street. A world of difference lol

Photobucket
The sea view on top of Kent Ridge Park was good too

A bleak reminder of what I see all the time parked there at Kent Ridge Park

No time for fun again tomorrow. Exam is approaching yet again. Heading to school for some mugging.
