Dreams and Jokes

Had a weird dream of my own that day. I dreamt that my right ear was stuck, so i squeezed my nose and blew..you know the thing you do when some air is stuck in your ear..i do that most often when i'm on an aeroplane. But in the dream, no matter how hard i blew, my ear still remained stuck. Then suddenly i woke up from my dream. Guess what, i realised that my earphone was still in my right ear which is why i felt that my right ear was stuck during the dream haha..wth!

Haha anyway i read a few dirty jokes the other day and i thought i might share them here.

Q. Whats the most active muscle in a woman?
A. The Penis.

Q. What do you do if your girlfriend starts smoking?
A. Slow down and use some lubricant.

Q. How do you make 5 kilos of fat look good?
A. Give it nipples.

Anyway i've signed up for the standard chartered full marathon this year. Anyone interested in joining me? Do sign up

HERE!

This is going to be the fittest year of my life i think. Not sure if i will have the determination to continue in the coming years. Oh and i've been accepted into the degree program i signed up at SIM! Its Bachelor of Science in Management under University of Manchester! Looking forward to starting school! Its so fun being back in school, but not sure if it will be as fun now that its part-time. Anyway i won't be giving up...it cost money. I will succeed in life, i have a goal now and i will work towards it.

Bernerd's birthday 2006

I just came home. Was out with Bernerd, Puss, Weijian and Jackie celebrating Bernerd's belated birthday. We dined at Cafe Swiss in Swissotel Westin. Eh they serve swiss food there, but it wasn't fantastic. Anyway we had a good hearty laugh there when i dropped the salt dispenser into my cream of mushroom soup. It came out all sticky and disgusting. Worse still, the salt spilled all over the table when the cap opened, attaching itself all over the sticky salt dispenser, making it even more disgusting hahaha. After the incident, i could have picked a fight with the waiters and chefs by saying: "The soup is too salty." Haha...ok that was corny.

Anyway we tasked Pussy to buy Bernerd his birthday present and he bought a dancing robodog hahaha. Attracted lots of attentions when we wound it and let it danced on our table at New Asia Bar. The Caucasians around were like going: "Woah look so cute!" Haha i didn't think so! Ok maybe the dancing eyes were quite funny haha.

His birthday "cake". Notice there are 2 walnuts and 3 ice-cream cutes indicating 23..23 years old lah! How thoughtful of us.

Didn't die!

Yes i completed my 21km and am back home safe and sound! Its the longest distance i've ever run in my life and i must say i'm quite shagged but can still go on! It was quite a fun run with many pretty girls jogging with me too, how do you ladies manage to smell so nice even though you're sweating and working out ah? Haha. Throughout the run, there were many waterpoints and the different units made an effort to even add decorations and maskots to cheer us there. At the end of the run, i got a nice medal because i came in at 2hrs18mins, before the stipulated time of 2hrs45mins. Hopefully i will be determined to continue to run the other AHMs in the future and collect more of these medals. This medal didn't come easy though, i now have painful abrasions in between my legs, not where you think it is lah..slightly lower...argh.

I am now quite keen on the Standard Chartered full Marathon. Yes it is 42km. I really cannot imagine after running 21km i still have 21km more to go...but i will try! Met Henry at Raffles City too and he jioed me to join his, his friend has a 10% discount upon signing up, anyone interested to join us?!

I'm a nightmare!

I had been on platoon sergeant course again the past week at SI. Its a much better life than in SISPEC! At least i get night out so far everyday! That is a morale booster for me, at least i have something nearer to look forward to the whole day lol.

That day, Sam called me all of a sudden. I thought what happened, she told me she had a nightmare where i died and she had to call me to call out my name out loud so that it wouldn't come true. Apparently, in her dream, she was attending my funeral and she happened to talk to Sham and Meiwen. Ok now for the climax, then out of nowhere, Sham accidentally revealed that he and Meiwen were the one that killed me. They didn't had a choice because i saw them killing someone else hahahahaha. They then started chasing Sam with machine guns causing her to wake up in shock. Sham and Meiwen if you're reading this, here's what i have to say to you: "You murderers!" Lol.

Then that day, my army friend told me he had a nightmare of me too! In his dream, i turned into an old woman and tried to rape him! WTF right?! This is not the first time now, another army friend of mine told me once that he dreamt of something similiar too, of me trying to rape them in their dreams! I mean come on man! What did i do to suggest that i'm gay?! Haha i mean i can accept there bound to be gay people on this earth and i can accept it, but i'm perfectly straight! Lol.

I had a unit cohesion bbq yesterday at Changi Haven. We wanted to get a chalet there but they were all fully booked by the time we wanted to get one. So we had to settle for the cohesion room there which is pretty nice too! It will be a nice place for people to hold their birthday celebrations. Its a spacious room with tables, chairs and a fridge and can easily hold 30-40 people? There are 4 bbq pits outside, a toilet and even a small storeroom. The view is fantastic too, facing the sea. I can probably hold my next birthday party there next year! Please turn up if i do organise one! Anyway, i had a great time there. Many of them who had ORD earlier turned up, it was nice seeing them again after awhile. Then before i left, a group of them carried me and tossed me up in the air a few times. It was quite scary! But fun! Haha.

Some of my good friends in the unit, and my sotong man Ngai Meng on the extreme left hahaha

My new PC

The BBQ pits

I didn't go home after the bbq. I went to play mahjong with my CSM, chief clerk and CQMS haha. Played at my CSM's house. I must mention that his house is quite nice! Its quite a well renovated and spacious 5 room flat at Hougang. And whoever said signing on wasn't good! Looking at how comfortably he's living now does console me a bit! Anyway was quite angry at the beginning of the mahjong session because i was losing quite a lot initially, nearly $200+! But then all of a sudden, my luck turned for the better and i starting winning zhi-mo zhi-mo zhi-mo until i shiok! The killer blow for them came at the last game. I won a 5 fan zhi-mo, a cool $105 in the drawer! From losing $200+ initially, i won $80 in the end! Haha was quite happy in the end although i won't get to sleep much today.

I barely slept for 3 hours today before i met up with Puss to make a trip down to SIM again. They wanted 3 passport photos from me and my diploma cert! I didn't have enough passport photos so i had to stop by this photo studio shop in Bukit Timah, they charged me $10.50 for 4 passport photos! So what if you're in a rich man's area! It doesn't mean anyone that patronises you is rich! Haha shit my carrot head got chopped again.

Anyway after the short trip to SIM, we went to the Ford Factory WW2 museum! It was a damn cool experience especially since i'm a big history and WW2 fan. I used to reach my modern history textbook even though i was only in sec 2 and modern history is taught only in sec 3. I enjoyed reading how they went about fighting each other and the strategies and machines they used. Now you know why i signed on! But hmmm...maybe being a WW2 historian instead will be better? Haha. Anyway, do visit the place if you guys have the time. Its just somewhere opposite Bukit Timah Nature Reserve off Bukit Timah Hill. Its free entry although we got cheated to pay $1 for a 24 mins video.

Our arrival

I took a pic with Lt-General Percival!

And Lt-General Yamashita too!

We played this cool tic-tac-toe quiz there where Puss cheated by pressing the RESET button when he's losing haha

After the nice excursion, it was time for lunch. We had lunch at Wee Nam Kee chicken rice stall just opposite Novena Church. Haha and guess who i saw there. My first girlfriend Michelle, and just like my encounter with my other ex-girlfriend Ivy, i didn't go up and say hi. Haii not that i don't want to, but i guess i'll feel awkward, especially after not seeing each other for such a long time, i wouldn't even know what to say to them!

After lunch, we walked around Orchard awhile before meeting Bernerd at Plaza Sing for a movie. We watched Barnyard. Digital cartoons is the way to go these days yeah, suddenly a lot of them are popping up. Anyway this one was good. It was real funny. Monster House is next!

Oh its AHM tomorrow, i'm supposed to be at Padang by 0430hrs to prepare for my 21km! I should be asleep now but i don't feel like sleeping so early. So don't be alarmed if you see my name in the newspaper tomorrow my fate being the same as the fateful Colonel...lol choy touch wood touch wood.

Real Run 2006

I woke up late for the run today. Luckily Weijian called me in the morning. I was supposed to meet him at 6.45am but when he called at 6.55am i was still in bed. I was flabbergasted, my phone alarm failed me for the first time! I rushed and left home in 5 mins. Fortunately, i managed to reach in time before the flag off. But stupid pussy didn't make it. We tried to call him but he didn't pick up. By the time he called back i was already queuing up to drive into sentosa. So he paid $25 and missed the run haha. But it didn't all go to waste, at least we collected his goodie bag for him.

Anyway, this 10km run proved to be an ego denting run for me. I came in at 66 mins after loads and loads of people, including many women and old men haha, now i know where i stand in terms of physical fitness even though i've been running a lot haha. The sand portion was the killer part. Its damn tiring running on sand, i ankles were twisting left and right with every step i take lol. Haha but actually i have never been good in running anyway, ever since i was borned. I've never attained a NAPFA gold before in my life, not even in primary school lol. And guess what?! I have to run 21km next Sunday! Sob!

After the run, Puss came and joined us to tan. I'm lobster red now, it hurts a bit, but i don't think i'll peel, thankfully. I'll be away for my PS course again next week. Won't have the time to come home everyday now. I'll miss home.

Bar Hopping

Met up with Puss and Bernerd yesterday for dinner, we ate at Food Republic in Wisma Atria Shopping Centre. Its an interesting place, not the normal food courts around, and its really crowded, we had trouble looking for seats at first. And i saw a few familiar faces there too, jonathan leong from CTK and Jean from Hitachi. I had Ba Chor Mee which is pretty good i must say.

After that, Weijian met up with us outside Paragon and we decided we wanted to go somewhere for a drink. We ended up at the Singapore Visitor's Centre beside Centerpoint and took lots of brouchers. They have brouchers for almost everything! Makan Places, places of interests, night spots, clubs, chill out places you name it! I collected a pile myself which i intend to put in my car. The next time i run out of places to go, i can turn to them!

Waiting for Weijian outside Paragon

Some buskers performing outside Taka. Their music is smoothing and nice! They are selling their CDs there too. Go take a look!

Anyway we decided we will visit Eski Bar at Holland Village. On the way there, guess who i saw? Sun Yanzi! She was with 2 male caucasians. I might say she looked gorgeous at one glance, her complexion looks flawless. I regret not taking a closer look or even asking to take a picture with her! Stupid Weijian told me that they provide jackets there at Eski Bar, but they didn't! We were literally freezing inside! I didn't even have the mood to take order! We lasted for around 10 - 15 mins before as usual the weakest Pussy ran out of the room first. Fortunately, we haven ordered any drinks yet or else the waitress will be hopping mad!

Freezing Bar

Yes we can blow smoke in there

One last shot before we decided enough was enough

We then decided to visit Q Bar near the parliament house. Before we could even attempt to get it, Puss got rejected straight away because he was wearing berms. Anyway the age limit for guys is 26 years old! And i thought i was old! Stupid Bar, as if 23 year old males like us can't give them business!

We then ventured further to Boat Quay where we ended up in a boardgames cafe. We played Blokus, some reaction game i can't remember its name, truth or dare Jenga, carrom and eventually Game of life. Haven had this sort of fun since the last time i went to the boardgames cafe at Marine Parade nearly 1 year ago?

Posing with our game

Anyway its the start of the EPL season, there will be soccer for me to watch every week now! Tomorrow is my New Balance 10km run at Sentosa! Looking forward to it!

Zombie

My weekdays this week has been pretty fulfilling. On Tuesday, my unit had an in-house promotion dinner where all the regulars of the unit gather for a nice meal. The venue was at Geylang Lorong 20. Yes its one of the la sup lorongs but i didn't even step in there! Anyway i had to pay for around 10% which is $25 for the meal because i was one of those that recently got promoted.

Yesterday, i had dinner with my mum and sister at Rochester Park. Its located near Buena Vista MRT and its a really nice and quiet place to chill out. There are a lot of different restaurants there, North Indian, French, Italian blah blah. We settled for an italian restaurant called Bistro Bar. They have these outdoor cushion beds normally used for sun-tanning purposes for people to relax and chill. Will definitely go down again one day! Anyway the food was good too, i had a rib eye steak and it sure tasted good. Although not too cheap ($34), it costed only a fraction of the Wagyu beef i had at Gordons Grill lol.

Sis, Me and Mum

Mummy and i

After dinner, Teri and Dave jio me to Zouk for Mambo. Stupid Teri went straight into Phuture and we didn't see her again after that lol. She met up with one drunk friend of hers and had to send him home. So stupid right, dressed up for the occasion, troubled me to pick her up and ended up abandoning us. Luckily i still had fun although it was only Dave and i. Mambo nights have an overwhelming amount of beauties i tell you. I was practically busy bioing here and there every minute every second! And i think it would have been possible hooking up girls yesterday too but both Dave and i are not well trained enough, we need the expertise of Darren Darren! Haha!

Anyway i had only 3 hours of sleep yesterday and here i am back from work feeling like a zombie. I'll be meeting Bernerd and Puss later to go swim at the CC. Hope i don't drown sleeping! Oh anyway Pussy has a new Photoblog, not sure how often he's going to update it but do visit it if you have nothing else better to do!

Pussy's PhotoBlog

Oh anyway i've repaired my car and the back bumper now looks slightly different! Its now partly orange in colour. Ok i've received negative comments about it, it does look a bit weird but i like it! Cheers!

Altivo Broadway Beng

Met up with Bernerd and Puss last night. We went for dinner and then went to Mount Faber's Altivo to chill out. Its a really nice place. Fell in love with it the moment i stepped in. The music is good, the scenery is good and the environment is pleasant. And they have a really nice toilet too!

I was there!

Wooh!

Some "skill" shot by Puss

This morning, i got puss to accompany me to SIM to register for my part time degree. Oh i applied for bachelors of sciences (honours) in management under University of Manchester. Valencia is applying for the same course too, which means we might end up classmates again! I hope that i won't feel too stressed during these 2 years and score well. I don't want to waste my money!

Then Valencia followed us to PS for lunch where Bernerd met us too. We watched the china show Crazy Stone. Hmmmm i must say the show is quite funny, but the cast and the filming place sucks. Everyone and everywhere seem so dirty in the show...yucks. After the show, we still had some time to kill before our Broadway Beng performance. So we decided to go slack at the National Library. The top floor is really cool, they have this rare books collection floor which is inaccessible to public. We managed to nap abit there before we met up with Sam for Broadway Beng.

Guess who we saw there, Jackie and Odette! And poor Odette was made a reluctant participant in the show, Sebastian Tan tested her Hokkien and made her dance with him on stage. Haha it was funny but Puss said that she didn't look comfortable lol. Anyway the show is quite funny, but try not to watch it if you don't understand Hokkien, i'm glad i know a bit! But somehow i still enjoy Kumar's stand up comedy a bit more.

Us in the theatre

After the show, we went back to Altivo again! We sat on the same table, sam ordered the same drumlets and wings but i didn't have the same drink lah. Had a fun time before making our way home. Sunday is coming which means Monday is coming too, SIAN!

Back at Altivo

Life is unpredictable

Yes i'm done with the demoralising guard duty on national day and i'm currently enjoying my well deserved off day. On my way home yesterday, i drove past a dead body. I believe it is a motorbike accident. I'm glad the TP had arrived before me and had already covered the body with a white cloth or else i'll be having nightmares for the rest of my life. This is just how fragile a life is, so please treasure all those around you, do things that you want to do immediately, don't wait and live to regret it, you won't know which day it would be for your turn to go inside a coffin.

Just this morning, i read the papers and i realised that a full Colonel that i've seen before had passed away in March from a sudden heart attack while running a Biathlon! And i didn't know until now! I've attended a talk given by him before and i remember that i was admiring his white Volvo S40. It came as a real shock really, it really shows how unpredictable life can be. I've decided on act on my resolutions and not delay anymore. Tomorrow i shall make a trip down to SIM and register for my degree!

Did anyone of you watch the NDP parade this year? Especially those from CTK church, did you notice Moarie, Arthur, Gregory and Daryl on TV? Also, the parade RSM is my formation RSM and the parade commander was my unit's former B2. Its amazing how many familiar faces the camera caught that day.

A special weekend

I had a special weekend this week. It was no doubt tiring but its a weekend worth remembering! Ok here goes.

I met up with my poly classmates on friday night for a small gathering and also to celebrate Shawn's birthday. We had dinner at the 7 storey steamboat near Bugis. The food was alright, expected the place to be really 7 storey but it turned out to be only 1! After dinner, we walked to Suntec because they wanted to catch a movie.

A picture of the guys!

I was shagged out that night but i didn't want to sleep my friday night away. They went ahead with their movie while i went off to meet up with Darren, Jackie, Damien and Dave for a singles club chionging session at Double O. It was my first time there and yes the drinks are really dirt cheap compared to other clubs. I drank quite a bit and got really dizzy halfway through dancing, i wanted so much to find a place to sit down but didn't want to spoil their party mood. I managed to hang on and after awhile i got better. Oh and guess what?! My good friend Darren hooked up a 52 year old woman there! He asked her to dance not knowing her age. But so happen, she was Jackie's friend's friend and he told us her age. It was damn funny. We will be talking about this 20 years down the road Darren! Anyway the music and crowd at Double O wasn't as good as phuture, it would have been more fun if we had gone to phuture instead i guess, nevermind! There's always another week!

My chiong buddies this week

I didn't go home after clubbing though. I had parked my car that night at weijian's house carpark and i went there. I wound my windows down a bit and slept in the car for around 2 hours before weijian came at around 5.30am. We then went on to fetch Bernerd and Puss. Our trip to KL begins!

The distance from Singapore to KL is around 400km and we took turns to drive. I took the last 100km because i drank quite a bit last night and wasn't exactly in the best of shape to drive initially. Its the first time my car has been made to work so hard, so long and so fast. It went up to 160km/h on the NS highway haha. By the time we got to KL, it was around 12 noon and just the right time to start our nice short vacation! We stayed at Maya Hotel and the hotel is impressing! Everything there is cool and modern. We were all so satisfied we told ourselves we will stay there again the next time we go to KL again. The location is good too because its just directly opposite Zouk and near KLCC. We went on to KLCC for lunch where we ate at Manhattan Fish Market. Oh anyway, the food there is all on 50% off compared to Singapore! The price there is almost exactly the same as Singapore just that its in Ringgit! Sadly, i can't say the same for the electronics and clothings though.

A picture with the car on our first rest stop

I was comfortably lying on my bed watching tv

The room came with a nice view too!

KL has a nice night urban scenery too

Puss and i at Manhattan Fish Market

Outside my room

After lunch and a bit of shopping, we went back to our cosy hotel to rest. We then had a swim at the hotel's hydrotherapy pool before going to chinatown for dinner. I ate at the same place i ate the last time i went KL with Henry and Darien, Kenny Rogers! Oh and we walked down the street filled with Pasar Malam stores. Nothing caught my eyes at first till we walked past a store selling watches. Puss wanted to get one and we spent quite some time there. Guess what, in the end, all 4 of us got a watch each for ourselves. Weijian, Bernerd and i bought a Tag Huer each while Puss got himself a Breitling.

Sin street

We had Gui Ling Gao

How's my aquaracer? Nice right?!

Please stay there the next time you visit KL, you won't regret it

Yes we've been to Zouk, only not inside lol

After the unexpected expenditure, somewhat all of them decided not to go to Zouk anymore. We spent the night walking around aimlessly before ending up back in our hotel room where we watched the movie Click and fell asleep soon after. We woke up early and Puss and i went on to eat the complimentary breakfast provided by the hotel. It was quite good! There's a variety of food and almost everything tasted good. It wasn't a very eventful vacation but it was by no doubts relaxing and most importantly fun! We soon reluctantly checked out of our beautiful room and drove home. Oh and guess what, on our way back. Puss was driving 140km/h, yes that speed is normal on the NS highway, i even got overtaken a few times while going that speed. But somehow, stupid and unlucky Puss got caught. And their corrupted police let us go after we paid them 90RM lol. Now that we've conquered KL, we will plan for a Phuket or Cambodia trip soon! Anyone interested?

We're going home

We had lunch at Marry Brown on our way back
