A special weekend

I had a special weekend this week. It was no doubt tiring but its a weekend worth remembering! Ok here goes.

I met up with my poly classmates on friday night for a small gathering and also to celebrate Shawn's birthday. We had dinner at the 7 storey steamboat near Bugis. The food was alright, expected the place to be really 7 storey but it turned out to be only 1! After dinner, we walked to Suntec because they wanted to catch a movie.

A picture of the guys!

I was shagged out that night but i didn't want to sleep my friday night away. They went ahead with their movie while i went off to meet up with Darren, Jackie, Damien and Dave for a singles club chionging session at Double O. It was my first time there and yes the drinks are really dirt cheap compared to other clubs. I drank quite a bit and got really dizzy halfway through dancing, i wanted so much to find a place to sit down but didn't want to spoil their party mood. I managed to hang on and after awhile i got better. Oh and guess what?! My good friend Darren hooked up a 52 year old woman there! He asked her to dance not knowing her age. But so happen, she was Jackie's friend's friend and he told us her age. It was damn funny. We will be talking about this 20 years down the road Darren! Anyway the music and crowd at Double O wasn't as good as phuture, it would have been more fun if we had gone to phuture instead i guess, nevermind! There's always another week!

My chiong buddies this week

I didn't go home after clubbing though. I had parked my car that night at weijian's house carpark and i went there. I wound my windows down a bit and slept in the car for around 2 hours before weijian came at around 5.30am. We then went on to fetch Bernerd and Puss. Our trip to KL begins!

The distance from Singapore to KL is around 400km and we took turns to drive. I took the last 100km because i drank quite a bit last night and wasn't exactly in the best of shape to drive initially. Its the first time my car has been made to work so hard, so long and so fast. It went up to 160km/h on the NS highway haha. By the time we got to KL, it was around 12 noon and just the right time to start our nice short vacation! We stayed at Maya Hotel and the hotel is impressing! Everything there is cool and modern. We were all so satisfied we told ourselves we will stay there again the next time we go to KL again. The location is good too because its just directly opposite Zouk and near KLCC. We went on to KLCC for lunch where we ate at Manhattan Fish Market. Oh anyway, the food there is all on 50% off compared to Singapore! The price there is almost exactly the same as Singapore just that its in Ringgit! Sadly, i can't say the same for the electronics and clothings though.

The hotel's ground floor!

I was comfortably lying on my bed watching tv

The room came with a nice view too!

Outside my room

After lunch and a bit of shopping, we went back to our cosy hotel to rest. We then had a swim at the hotel's hydrotherapy pool before going to chinatown for dinner. I ate at the same place i ate the last time i went KL with Henry and Darien, Kenny Rogers! Oh and we walked down the street filled with Pasar Malam stores. Nothing caught my eyes at first till we walked past a store selling watches. Puss wanted to get one and we spent quite some time there. Guess what, in the end, all 4 of us got a watch each for ourselves. Weijian, Bernerd and i bought a Tag Huer each while Puss got himself a Breitling.

Sin street

We had Gui Ling Gao

How's my aquaracer? Nice right?!

Please stay there the next time you visit KL, you won't regret it

Yes we've been to Zouk, only not inside lol

After the unexpected expenditure, somewhat all of them decided not to go to Zouk anymore. We spent the night walking around aimlessly before ending up back in our hotel room where we watched the movie Click and fell asleep soon after. We woke up early and Puss and i went on to eat the complimentary breakfast provided by the hotel. It was quite good! There's a variety of food and almost everything tasted good. It wasn't a very eventful vacation but it was by no doubts relaxing and most importantly fun! We soon reluctantly checked out of our beautiful room and drove home. Oh and guess what, on our way back. Puss was driving 140km/h, yes that speed is normal on the NS highway, i even got overtaken a few times while going that speed. But somehow, stupid and unlucky Puss got caught. And their corrupted police let us go after we paid them 90RM lol. Now that we've conquered KL, we will plan for a Phuket or Cambodia trip soon! Anyone interested?

We're going home
