I have a terrible ulcer on my tougue! And its located on such a strategic location that it becomes torturous for me to chew on the left side of my mouth. Actually, it is also difficult for me to chew on the other side too! I have to literally swallow all my food now! This damn ulcer is also causing me to talk as if as i have a short tougue! Damn you ulcer..i'm suffering!
Back to topic, i had a 1 day Kukup tour with my family yesterday! Its actually a trip organised by AMK Ave 4 district CTK Catholic community and somehow, my mum and ah kor are suddenly active and part of it!
Woke up early at 6.30am not bright but early and got ready for reporting. This is the disadvantage of being part of a tour. You have to meet timings and its usually very very undesirable timings! Anyway, a nice Saab coach brought us to the 2nd Link where we picked up our tour guide Margaret and got on our way. Anyway auntie Margaret is very friendly and humourous, delighting the whole group of us that made us of mostly middle age couples.
Auntie Margaret
On the coach!
We were first brought for breakfast in some small town's coffeeshop
Yes the malaysians would like to call it a Restoran
The have quite a variety...there's wanton mee..dim sum..handmade noodles etc
I chose to have wanton mee..but i didn't finish it! Damn ulcer!
We were brought to a local chocolate factory next
Almost everything is locally grown and manufactured
They have all the details of how to make chocolate
This "factory" is in reality a small chocolate shop
We were then brought to a local cracker factory
Yes they produce some of the crackers and nuts that we consume while we drink beer
We was then time for Kukup boat trip..its a fishing village to start with anyway
The water was terrible...it was brown lol
And it was smelly lol
There were kelongs all around
We were then taken on a boat ride to one of the kelong..the boat driver was touting us to buy things along the way haha
It was nice though..standing on the kelong
The planks look vulnerable..but its sturdy enough
The poor fishes waiting to be sold and eaten
Ooh there was a jellyfish
And a crab fish
There was a cute mini shark too
And an even cuter puffer fish!
My sis and her primary school catechist Uncle William...his wife Auntie Betty happens to be my catechist!
We were then brought back to land for lunch
Koropok
Yummy vegs
There were crabs too
We then walked around the mini town for awhile..here's a local delights shop
Look what i found! Nano Nano sweets! Now how old school is that?
We were then brought to Kukup Durian, a small orchard which was actually more like a badly kept and untidy backyard of someone
Very original..Mickey and Minnie love durians too!
Hehe i had to take a picture with their sign
Going around looking at the different plants
More plants
The owner
Oh we had a small fruit platter at the end of it
Very good
We were then brought to Jusco (Actually Jusco is the name of the Hypermart in the shopping mall..but since i don't know the name of the mall..i shall conveniently call it Jusco)..if you remember..i dropped by this place last year when i went to Ranjit with Puss, Weijian, Bernerd and Remy
I wanted to eat the egg tarts again
Are you drooling? I am!
We bought a chicken wing too
And a mango Sago too. It was great
After 2 hours in Jusco, we were brought to this place for dinner. It was overlooking the sea with Singapore Jurong just across the Straits
There was fish
Soup
Oat prawns
Crabs..so much food but i can't enjoy because of the damn ulcer!
It was then finally the end of a tiring trip. Kukup is really really literally nothing wonderful. But its still something new and you know i never shun away from new adventures! The whole trip cost only $45 per person. Very very reasonable if you ask me, considering it came with transport all the way, a tour guide and seafood lunch and dinner! Its a pity my damn ulcer and frail body had to spoil the whole trip. I was so tired i was looking for opportunities to sit down or sleep the whole way.
A nice weekend gateway with my dear family nevertheless!
Back to home sweet home
