The past 2 weeks

The past 2 weeks have been eventful to say the least.

Starting from 2 weeks ago, Puss organised a sushi making session over at his place on the eve of Deepavali. I finally got the chance to use my special "$2000" sashimi knife after buying it eons ago. The sushi turned out to be quite alright, and we managed get creative and have some fun as well lol.

Went for my 2nd salsa class last last week, my first lesson was 2 years ago with Mabelline haha. This time I went with Horsey and Heloise. I proved to myself again how much I suck at it and precisely why I took 2 years before returning for my 2nd class. I might have little choice this time because my sister has requested that I dance with Yanqing on her wedding night. I don't exactly want to disappoint her and moreover Yanqing told me that all I need to do is stand there acting as a pole for her to wiggle around me...I might just do it!

Took Friday off and went to play tennis with Sis, Mazi, and Weijian. We didn't last long under the hot afternoon sun. After tennis, sis and I went for lunch in Seletar Country Club. It was a wonderful experience, and it helped a lot that it was cloudy and windy that day...adding to the nice feeling.

It was Jon's wedding dinner on 1st Nov last Saturday. He held it at Harbourfront's Dragon Gate restaurant. It was a simple wedding dinner, with nothing crazy, no special speech, no games whatsoever. But it was nice nevertheless and I would like to congratulate them!

After the wedding dinner, we conveniently arranged to go party at St James Power Station. It wasn't as crazy a night as Double O and thats because we didn't have much to drink. But it was still fun swaying your butt around on the dancefloor, and for that moment forgetting all the work, politics and crap left in camp.

Caught Burn after Reading over the week as well. It didn't turn out as nice as I expect and hearsay it to be. In fact it was quite boring. The storyline is nonsensical but the acting is pretty decent.

Went to the zoo with Valencia and Puss last Sunday as well thanks to Valencia's complimentary free tickets. The zoo is still as boring as it was years ago. Nothing exciting nothing worth looking at!

This seems to be neverending but I want to blog it all! I recently found another activity to add to my list of activities and sports I suck at. After wakeboarding, cable skiing, drinking and dancing comes prawning! On Saturday, we met up for Henry's belated birthday get-together and Henry suggested that we went prawning. It seems to be the in-activity nowadays and so I wanted to try it too. We ended up in a farm in Pasir Ris and they charged us $24 each for 2.5 hours of prawning. Meiwen and Linus caught a decent number of prawns whereas the newbies Samantha, Henry and myself caught 1, 2, 0 prawns respectively!!!

We brought our catch to a coffeeshop in Tampines and it was promptly converted into this plate of nice looking cereal prawns
