What do you think

While watching tv just now..i suddenly had an idea of how the world actually revolves. What goes around comes around. For example if Elvis Presley didn't die of drugs abuse years ago, his fan Theresa wouldn't have committed suicide because of grief. And if Theresa didn't commit suicide, she might have given birth to a son that might have made great inventions that would have greatly affect our modern world.

And if Hitler parents didn't die, he wouldn't have had a bad childhood and have developed anti-semitic feelings. And if that didn't happen, he might have been a different person altogether and wouldn't even enter politics and try to take over the world. And if his army didn't kill those million of jews and POWs, i'm sure many of them would have made a difference to others' lifes and even the world. One of them might have set up a company to topple microsoft?

Ok i think i'm being carried away here..i shall stop here.

I got a parking summon again yesterday...$25 god damn dollars..but this time its my fault..i had park at my house's carpark because of laziness wahaha. And today i finally realised why my bike's handling have been weird..one of the handlebar is bent...i think when i dropped it few months back. They told me i might have to change my whole handlebar..i wonder how much that will cost tmd.

Oh by the way there's a new 2004 Honda Phantom..saw it at the bike shop today. Quite an improvement i must say....ignition is now found at the front and there's a low fueling warning light (something the old phantom don't have)...the seats look nicer and more classy now..the design is overall very much nicer..3 cheers for Honda! HIPHIPHIP

What if

What if one day you found out that the world actually revolves around you? Everything that happens in the world happens for a reason and that is because of you. God made some things happen because he wants to reward, pamper, warn or even punish you.

For example when you bet on a football match, God made the team you bet on win because he wants you to be happy too...thus as a result making other people in the world win and cheer together with you. Vice versa he can make things happen the other way around.

He might create a world war so that you'll experience sufferings and death of your love ones so that you'll learn to be a stronger person..bring others into your life so that they will teach/love/care/entertain/accompany/anger you.

He probably made Brad Pitt exist so that he can act Troy and Ocean 11 for you. Unbelievable? Ya i think so too.

If there's really such a person then isn't he the most important person in the world? He'll be dub VVVVVIP all over the world...world leaders around will be observing his every action and consult him for every decisions they make. Of course all these are just my imaginations..i don't believe such a person exists....Jesus will only stand on earth once and there was 2000 over years ago. But then again...God might have thought of having more children thus giving Jesus new brothers and sisters? Hmmm...wahahaha

Life at work

Had lunch with 3 other colleagues today..they are all born in the 1970s but they do look younger. There's one of them that has got her riding license. She told me that she got it when she's 21 yrs old..and that it was 8 yrs ago...she definitely don't look that old haha. Anyway she's the super fit type...she blades home after work...office's at kaki bukit..she lives at East coast...most of you will go: "what the?!" now. I'm equally surprised...blading that far and on uneven roads is surely not easy.

I also chatted with this guy colleague of mine last night over dinner. He's 27 this year and boy is his life quite similiar to mine. He graduated from Temasek poly years ago..and was at SAJC for one yr..don't that sound familiar?! He came here after he ORD and has been here since..that's about 3 yrs now.

Oh and i want to mention i have this colleague by the name of KyuKyu (at first i thought it was QQ)..she came in at the same day as me. When she introduced herself to others...they all didn't know what to say..QQ? Tan KyuKyu Phua KyuKyu or KyuKyu Ng KyuKyu Ong i don't know..haha

There's work non stop today..even better..time passes more quickly..its almost 6pm now..but i'm not sure if i have to work OT... *fingers crossed*

Company dinner

Its only my 2nd day of work today and i had a company dinner..or should i say department dinner. I'm in the returns department and 13 people turned up for today's dinner...11 girls and 2 guys including myself. Found out that many of the ladies are born in 1981 and 1982, and they feel old..

While having dinner..which is at Amara Hotel by the way..they went out to do some shopping..they came back with a pair of Charles and Keith slippers each..i must agree that earning a woman's money is real easy. Anyway the buffet was quite ok..a large variety but i must say the tempura and soft shell crab there tasted funny. Its 30+ per head but i didn't have to pay so who cares haha.

First day of work

Its the first day of work for me today after what seemed like a long break for me. I had difficulty sleeping on sunday night after freshly quitting the night owl club. I turned off the lights in my room and watched tv..putting it on sleep mode. F1 racing started at 1am and it kept me awake all the way till 2.45am...and what a race it was....only 12/20 drivers left at the end of the race with the rest either crashing out or retiring.

At 2.45am..you know it..euro fever. Spain vs Portugal also kept me awake all the way till 4.45am..it was only then that i decided to stop extending the sleep mode time of my tv and try to sleep. Success at last but i had to wake up 3 hours later at 7.45am to get ready for work.

I avoided using CTE to go to work because of the 2 irritating ERP gantrys there. So i used Upper Serangoon Road and then to PIE. Along potong pasir, there's this guy by the road taking down plates of vehicles driving on the bus lane. I hope he didn't take down my plate, because i had squeezed past a few cars by cutting into the bus lane. If the summon really comes...it will be really expensive...if i'm not wrong it'll come with some demerit points too..god damn.

Managed to report for work right on time at 9am and to my surprise i wasn't the only new staff that day. There were other temp and perm staffs reporting for their first day of work too. I had practically nothing to do the whole day except for a little bit of understanding and operating the SAP system plus printing reports. I surfed the net and chatted online to kill time..occasionally also accompanying my friend fishy as he takes a fagging break downstairs.

The office consists of predominantly females. But fortunately, unlike bata, they are generally young people haha. The lights will go out on me early tonight...no more late nights for me...good bye fellow cyber owls

End of my holidays

Caught around the world in 80 days with Sam yesterday. Its quite a ridiculous show, but then again it wasn't meant to be realistic and i had my share of laughs...definitely not worth the $8.50 i paid. Oh yeah and i must mention they use famous people as their extras too.

I also played mahjong for 3 consecutive nights with different groups of people...lol i guess i'm just enjoying myself as much as i can before i start work tomorrow.

Work is going to be at Hitachi at Kaki Bukit..i hope i'll learn something there, make new friends and enjoy myself. Going to miss those late nights and chatting with my fellow night owls.. ;)

My johor trip

Went Johor yesterday with puss and bernerd. Went to fetch puss at around 10.45am and headed for Kranji MRT. We then took a bus from there to Johor because i didn't want to ride in. I've been absenced from Malaysia for a long time now and yesterday was my first return to the causeway after nearly 10 years.

First we took a cab to Holiday Plaza. It was this place that i used to visit with my family long time ago. It brings back old memories and it looks like it has changed though. The Macdonalds and KFC is still there. We first had lunch at KFC and the meals there is half as much as that in Singapore...cheap! The whipped potato also had that classic taste...the ones i used to eat. After that we headed immediately to the pirate shops...i bought lots of games and puss bought lots of movies. We soon realised that the place is boring so we took a cab down to City Square.

City Square is big but quite boring..soon after we were bored again. Bernerd drove in to meet us at around 4pm and we drove to Pelangi Plaza (Giant). We walked around there for like 5 mins? And we got bored. We then headed to Eden Gardens and it was boring too. OMG JB is super boring.

There's a stretch of food street beside City Square that have many stores. We had a good feast there buying a big stingray + sotong for S$10! We also had claypot rice, chee cheong fun, ching teng etc...good stuffs..i'll definately go back again.

I might be starting work next week...the agency girl just called this morning. Very well because i've lost all my money betting at Euro2004..i'm so not meant for gambling..

England vs France

This must be one of the most exciting match i've ever bet on. Daniel, Bucky and myself had each place $5 on a 1-1 draw between the 2 sides and watched the match together at Jackie's house. The odds was $6.50 and we could have won $32.50.

England opened the scoring during the 1st half with a bullet header from Frank Lampard much to my delight. After England's goal we were supporting France all the way. The 2nd half was breath taking. First, England was awarded a penalty...David Beckham steps up and misses! We all shouted in delight. But it wasn't over and we needed a France goal.

Then one minute into injury time..France was awarded a free kick. Zinedine Zidane steps up and curls in for the goal! All 3 of us stood up and starting jumping around and high-fiving each other in delight. 1-1!!

To our horror, our delight was shortlifted. With only 1 minute left on the clock before the referee will blow, Steven Gerrard made a terrible mistake and accidentally pass the ball to Henry in the box...David James tried to stop him but trips him...penalty! WTF?! We were all lost for words...in other words we were dumbfound. We were praying for another miracle. Zidane steps up again and unfortunately he scores. We were fucking pissed...we thot we had the money in the bag...OLE KNN!

The start of Euro 2004

I had a shocking start to euro 2004...i'm sure i'm not the only one. The host country portugal fell to the mights of the lowly greece 2-1. Obviously i lost money. But i'm glad i won back my money for the 2nd match Spain vs Russia. I hope to win more throughout this month...OLE

I found a job

I found a temp job at Hitachi. Its located at Kaki Bukit and the pay will be $7/hr. Good money but then the job came just before Euro2004 is about to start. What luck...but nvm money is more important.

I'll most probably get the job although its not confirm yet. I'll need to wait for Adecco to call me before i know when i am to start work etc.

Long day...very rare for me nowadays

Had a field day today. Although i did wake up only in the afternoon as usual...i decided that i wanted to collect my hi-fly pay and then meet bernerd for snooker. I reached neil road at 2.30pm and parked at some double yellow line in a neighbourhood nearby expecting to pick up the money fast and leave. I walked down neil road only to find shophouse 150 and not shophouse 155. I called Laijin for help as he had already collected his pay yesterday. His directions were confusing...i walked up and down and still couldn't find the place. All along while looking for the place, i was worried that i'll get a summon for parking illegally. After all a summon for parking on double yellow will be at least $50 and paying $50 to collect my salary of $80 is ridiculous! Moreover i was already freaking late in meeting Bernerd for snooker..we had arranged at 3pm. After walking for nearly 1 hour, i decided that i didn't want to look any further..i gave up and wanted to come back another day. As i was riding out..i rode past neil road 155...it was within walking distance from where i parked. God dammit can you believe it!? I walked so far and the place is just so nearby? I was so in a hurry and tired i just rushed in without smiling or anything. I took my pay and left.

After snooker bernerd and i had dinner at Edo Sushi Paradiz Centre. The food suck big time...it was expensive..unfresh and they don't serve ice water. I'm never ever going back there again..to think they even gave me a Edo sushi loyalty card..a chop for every $10 you spend..and you have to accumulate the chops within a month. Do they think that i'm stupid?! Boycott Edo!

After dinner i met Sam and brought her to KK hospital. No..not what you think it is. Her 3 months old baby cousin has been admitted for an overdose of medicine. Her mum had apparently understood wrongly and fed him medicine every 2 hrs instead of the correct dose of twice everyday. Cute chubby fellow that was crying away when we arrived..his face seem slightly swollen but they doctors did what they're good at and he's ok now. Glad for that and hopes he'll sleep soundly tonight just like he did just now.

I just got back from supper at jalan kayu with pussy. The number of big new bikes i see that just makes me so envious. There were 3 new Honda CBR1000-RR, a few Suzuki GSX-1000R and one Kawasaki Ninja. After supper we decided to explore some quiet and spooky territories. We went to seletar camp which is near Jalan Kayu. There are many houses there but the place is as quiet as it can get. But occasionally a car or two will pass by. It was yet another cold night but we endured. The spooky abandoned house we explored a few months ago was dark and totally different at night. We freaked out even wanting to shine my high beam on it.

After exploring seletar camp, we went to Punggol. The haunted house that i was brought to by my teachers during my sec 2 adventure camp is now situated prominently in front of an LRT station. It still look scary though because its dark. We then headed towards Punggol beach. That place is also a long stretch of dark roads but there is life there. While riding, there's this dog lying on the road as if its dead..and thats what we thought initially. Only after we pass by it then it suddenly sprang onto its feet in shock. Obviously we were shocked too and we sped off. To our horror at the next turn there's another dog sitting down there staring at us. I had turned into a dead end and was slowing reversing...after i changed direction the dog suddenly started to bark and chase us. Of course he couldn't get near us..we're glad he didn't decide to attack when i was reversing...we would have died...

We also past by Punggol Marina and puss told me many couples go there make out. There's also a nice fishing place there and i think i want to go fishing there one day. Who has rods to lend?

The best bet

Just watched the latest of Jack Neo's production..the best bet. Nice and reasonably funny show. Lots of hokkien and chim hokkien idioms and phrases they came out themselves. Not much to say about it...Watch it to feel Singaporean again

Rossi is awesome!

I am mad..i just finished eating 4 pieces of kfc chicken, 4 nuggets, 4 whipped potatoes and i still have popcorn chicken to go. I had to order so much for them to make the delivery (i lazy go buy) and i have to finish it myself. I had wanted to rush home for motogp after soccer. But somehow i'm glad i'm not so bloated.

Just finished watching the live telecast of motogp..its at italy today. Valentino Rossi is simply awesome...they were countless times he was overtaken during the race but somehow he just manages to regain the lead momentarily. Today's race was exceptionally exciting and dramatic. WIth 5 laps to go, it started raining and with Rossi leading, he opted to pause the race. Every rider went back to their pit and changed their tyres. The race restarted 15 mins later and the ended with the same 3 leaders b4 the pause making it to the podium. Rossi 1st Giberau 2nd and Biaggi 3rd.

If only anyone understands what i am saying....................i wanna be a racer!

8 days

Was reading 8 days just now, fairly interesting magazine. And by the way, Zoe Tay looks a perfect wife. Beautiful, famous, rich, non-temperamental (i think), gentle, non-slutty nor flirty etc etc..everything u can ask for a wife. Geez..

And i just read that the ancient Troy is actually Turkey in modern days. The legendary Trojan Horse can be found not in Greece but in Turkey..something new?

The interview of Carrie Chong and her car was also interesting. She actually mention stuffs most people will do with their cars. Eg. taking extra care to wash and clean your car the first few months you wash it...and she said it right..it gets a bit tiring and plus the novelty justs wear off.

Oh ya pussy is back from Greece..he just messaged me...can't wait to see the pics!

They polices hate me...do i have a punk face?

While walking home today, this police car stopped and checked me. This isn't the first time it has happened to me...in fact its the 3rd time. The first incident was the worst..don't wanna mention it. The second time was ok..just a routine check and there're off. This third time was even better, they took my ic to check while the other officer chatted with me. He asked what i was doing and when i told him i'm waiting for my enlistment, he told me to enjoy myself as much as i could blah blah blah.

What i don't understand is why do i always get checked? Do i have a punk face or what? Do i dress like a punk? Do i walk like a punk? I don't think so...the polices just hate me. Every time they check me, its embarrassing when people passing by stares at you as if you've done something wrong.

I understand that they're doing their job and they're here to keep the neighbourhoods safe...but screw them!

Harry Potter and the stereotyping of polices

Nope don't be mistaken...its not the next part of the Harry Potter serials..just my very own story.

Went shopping with weijian today. Bought a set of boxers cum briefs while shopping. Its the kind of boxers that are tighter than usual...new kind of underwear for me..haven tried it yet..hope its comfortable. Weijian bought a set of underwears too..not the same as mine though.

While he was trying on shoes at beetle bug in Wisma, he left the taka paper bag with his box of underwear on the seat. We had walked till Far East Plaza before he realised he left it there. We walked all the way back and guess what...it's still there on the seat..untouched unnoticed...nobody wants his stinky underwears haha.

Met Sam at night to watch Harry Potter and the prisoner of Azkaban.

I have only one thing to say about it..very harry potter..full of fantasy, mysteries, new creatures, magic etc etc. Catch it if you're a Harry Potter fan...if not..don't waste money..nothing special about this as compared to the others.

On my way home..i encountered another road block along AMK ave 1. Seems like a major operation coz there were at least 5 police bikes and 3 police cars...unless they were all gathering there to slack of course. Just like any road blocks, the polices only retain the sportsbikes and sportscars for checking. Family cars, taxis and scooters like mine were given the signal to move along...that's good of course. When i passed by..a mazda mx-5 and Honda Fireblade were stopped for a check. The MX-5 deserves to be checked..he sped past me before that and was driving dangerously..stupid ang mor driver with a chick inside. My police friends had told me that these polices stop cars and bikes with babes on it just to look at the babes..chao tikos.

Polices are stereotyping...they are prejudiced against sportsbikes...but that won't stop me from getting one in the future..good luck to myself ;)
