Exam is over!

The damn exam is finally over! Wooh! Nows the time to start watching movie, go shopping, go clubbing and of course also play mahjong! Haha yes in case you didn't know, these are the things i usually do at this point of my life. I do want to pick up a few more hobbies like diving, golf and wake boarding but i just haven got myself to doing it! Soon soon soon!

Went out for dinner with my mum and sis after finishing my paper yesterday. I suggested going to this place call Labrador Seafood Villa at Labrador Park which i read in either I-weekly, Her World or 8 Days. (Don't ask me why i read iweekly and her world) The place turned out to be quite nice with a nice surrounding sea view. There's a spa place just beside the restaurant and judging from its location, you can estimate the price of a simple massage or facial. The restaurant turned out to be a chinese restaurant serving mostly chinese dishes like sharks fin, peking duck etc etc...something i didn't expect. It reminded us of the Humble House we dined in not too long ago. The bill wasn't cheap too, it was around $177 for the 3 of us...its ok we'll treat it as an early treat to our dear mummy for mother's day.

After dinner, i met up with Weijian and Sham to watch Manchester United play Everton at some pub near NUS. We watched how manu came back from 2-0 down to win 4-2. Then we got the news that Chelsea screwed up at Bolton. It was a good day..it was definitely a good day.

Mug Mug Mug

It has been a tiring one week for me, other than the usual 9 hours of work per day, i've been diligently making my way to NUS business library everyday after work to study. It hasn't been easy, i tend to put my head on the table and doze off once in awhile but fortunately there's Weijian there to hit my head whenever that happens haha.

In the midst of mugging, i did manage to find some time to enjoy myself at Wala Wala last night. I was joined by Sham, Henry, Weijian and some of his hall friends. It was literally a multi racial gathering that day, we had a german caucasian, an american black, a japanese mix girl and of course the rest of us. Although the live band that performed that day wasn't as good as the usual one, i still enjoyed myself taking some time away from the books.

I was reading this week's 8 days that day and i read the part where they interviewed this year's Miss Singapore Universe contestants. They were asked typical questions that beauty pageants always ask..what they call the 10-year series questions. One particular contestant name Tay Yi Ming was asked what her most treasured possession was. She answered Photographs. And she added on since time travel is not possible, these frozen moments of time are the only means for her to relive her memories. How true! I totally agree with her! Its a really good answer, i doubt anyone of us would have thought of answering that question this way! A pity she's not too much of a looker though haha. The best looking of the lot has to be Jessica Tan, followed by Joey Feng then Peggy Chang, the rest of them...hmmm cannot make it lah haha. I'll definitely be watching tomorrow. Heck studying for once! Wooh!

I try not to type too much nowadays because i know it can be quite tiring and irritating reading so much. I'm a self confessed impatient reader. I don't go to other people's blogs often and even if i do, i tend to only glance through their posts haha. Now you know...

I shall stop here for tonight, when i'm done with my exam next week, it'll be time to party again, till we meet again!

Its Time

Yeah i think its time for an update now after nearly a month of absence. Firstly, i don't want to accumulate too much for me to blog about and secondly, i don't want to lose precious readers and friends like you by not updating!

Ok, let me start with something funny that happened just now. I was walking home just now and was at my void deck when i saw this cockroach running across my path in front of me. I then tried to scare it by jumping up and stamping my feet on the floor. That stupid cockroach reacted by jumping up into the air too. Its probably one of those irritating cockroach that can fly and so it jumped pretty high. My first instinct was to swing my right foot and aim a kick at it. That i did and guess what? I actually managed to volley the cockroach...and so poom it went...right into the wall in front with a piah sound! Sounds like something from an advertisement right? But it happened! After that, i just kept laughing and laughing to myself at the void deck..i couldn't stand it..it was hilarious! I'm glad it was already pretty late in the night and nobody saw me haha.

Ok let me try to go back all the way to nearly a month ago. My company had a retreat some weeks ago at Tanah Merah Safra chalet. Although the discussions and brainstorming during the retreat were boring most of the time, i must admit that i did have fun throughout. We played ultimate frisbee, taboo, mahjong and some other games. Its really a rare chance to the other sides of my bosses, i almost thought that they were of the same age as me!

Oh i nearly forgot...Felicia Chin, Rui En and less importantly Pierre Png visited my camp a few weeks ago! They were here to film some new channel 8 tv serial drama about the army. Felicia Chin was dressed in army uniform and she was hot! But somehow i prefer Rui En...she's hotter in my eye! Oh and guess what...she smiled at me too! Wooh! Haha.

Watched the widely acclaimed Phantom of the Opera last friday with my mum, we bought the $110 tickets but were still seated pretty high up and back. We had to bend down whenever they were on the bridge..otherwise we won't be able to see their heads haha. Anyway, i thought the play was alright. Although not as good as i've expected it to be, i must say that the props were impressive and the singing was excellent. The storyline was disappointing though. In fact, my mum fell asleep halfway into the play haha. I kinda enjoyed The Forbidden City more haha.



I've been busy lately..have been trying hard to study for my new subject which i'm currently catching no ball. Notice that i said i'm trying hard to study and not been trying to study hard haha. Anyway, the subject i'm taking now iscorporate finance. Learning about bonds, stocks, yields to maturity, interest and all the shit. Although i enjoy maths a lot, i'm still trying hard to figure out whats going on in this module haha. Was in school today attending a make up class with another tutorial group and some of them asked me if i'm local. Don't i look like one?! They actually thought that i was an indonesian or something haha. Actually they are not the only one that said that. I don't know whether to take it as a compliment or an insult haha...afterall...all indonesians in Singapore are filthy rich..maybe i look rich!

Had an unplanned for get together yesterday. Had actually only planned to meet up with Puss but in the end a lot more people joined in the fun haha. Puss had planned to meet up for dinner with Anna and Clarence for dinner and so i joined in. The initial plan was to eat at Kovan's HK cafe but somehow they changed it to Punggol Nasi Lemak. Puss and i got there early so we dropped a visit to Kheng Hong whose office is just beside Punggol Nasi Lemak. Then from there, Kheng Hong asked if we wanted to join him, Benson and Desiree for dinner at Serangoon Garden's Simply Peranankan. And so we did and it turned out to be a bigger gathering haha. After dinner, we decided to head to Clarke Quay for a drink. We ended up at this place call Baize. The group got bigger when we got there, Valencia and Shiya joined us. The place have quite a lot of pool tables and there's a live band there too. They were good, if i didn't remember wrongly, i've seen them at Wala Wala before too. The place were full of ang mors just like the whole Clarke Quay..but disappointingly...no babes were in sight haha.

I can't seem to recall most of the things that happened the past month, thats the problem when i don't blog frequently! Oh anyway i'm a happy man today because Manchester United trashed Watford United 4-1 just now to reach the FA cup final! I witnessed it all at Robertson Walk...glory glory Man United!

I can't get to sleep

I can't get to sleep..i've been tossing and turning on my bed for the past 2 hours to no avail. Thats because i fell asleep watching the lousy Ren Ci charity show just now. I must have fallen asleep at around 9+pm just now...when they had only around 20,000 calls. I remember waking up momentarily much later only to hear that they already have 600,000 calls. Singaporeans are still pretty charitable and generous despite the NKF drama yeah.

Met up with Chin Seng, Kheng Siang and Jit Hwee on Friday where we had dinner at Hanabi Japanese Restaurant. Its a Japanese buffet restaurant, something like Ikoi at Miramar Hotel. They have 2 branches, one at King's Arcade off Bukit Timah road, the other one at Odeon Tower near City Hall..where Loof is located. Its $30 per person, just like Ikoi. The food is quite alright, nice sashamis comparable to Ikoi. A pity they don't serve soft shell crabs as part of buffet though..if not i would have lots of it! But they made up for it with nice Mackeral fish, we had lots of that!

Spent much of my weekend at home, there's nowhere to go and no one to go out with lol. I did however meet Sham yesterday to watch soccer at Robertson Walk again. Yup Manu won again! 4-1 against Bolton this time...that did brighten my weekend just a little. After manu's match, upon Chelsea fan Sham's request, we stayed on to watch boring Chelsea win against Sheffield United..yawn.

After soccer, Sham and i decided to catch a movie. We headed to Orchard Cineleisure where we caught Music and Lyrics. It turned out to be a really nice romantic comedy. The show started off really cute with Hugh Grant dancing with his bandmates on a MTV. This show changed my opinion of Drew Barrymore. I never used to like her that much, i've always thought that she's overrated. But yeah after this show, i kinda fell in love in her. Her character in the show is actually my idea of how i would like my future girlfriend cum wife to be, funny, chatty, feminine, capable and yeah simply downright adorable.



Accompanied Bernerd to Qian Hu fish farm today because he wanted to get some driftwoods and stuff to start a new aquarium. After Qian Hu, i went to Orchard Hotel for a haircut, cost me $35 but i think its worth it. Kinda like my hairstyle now, at least its not squarish and thick like it used to be haha.

Met up with Sham on Sunday night to watch the movie both of us had wanted to watch so badly. Yes its the movie 300. Well...i must say that it was kinda disappointing..it didn't turn out to be as good as i have imagined it to be. The whole show was made for women or gays to admire the actors' nice toned bodies. I'm not someone that enjoys admiring another man's body..thats because i'm a man myself! However, i did enjoy the few scenes where the women in the movie appeared nude too haha. I would have loved the movie better if the soldiers wore nice cool armours to battle, but unfortunately they didn't. The dialogues in the movie were witless half the time, the show made the people from that era all sound like himbos..the scriptwriters obviously didn't put in much effort. The show did however induce me to read up more about this battle from wikipedia. I found out from there that the show was pretty accurate except for the fact that the soldiers didn't fight half naked. Watch the show if you're a history fan, don't watch it if you're someone that dislikes imbecilic conversations.



Celebrated my birthday a second time on Monday, this time with my family. We went to East Coast Park. We dined at one of the many seafood places there..this one call Fisherman's Village. Had lots of seafood including a plate of nice chilli crabs. All my life, I've always who has been conscious about consuming crab's eggs even though many people has testified that its delicious. The reason is because of my mum. She's always nagging and telling me how much cholesterol those eggs contain and how bad it is for health..so i don't really eat a lot of it. But i had quite a lot of it that day because both the crabs we ordered were female! I had better start running to lose all those cholesterol thats in me now!

Had to wake up at 3.45am this morning to fetch my sis to the airport. She flew off to Cambodia's Siam Reap this morning for a vacation with her secondary school friends. How i envy her, i long for a holiday myself too!

Happy 24th birthday celebration

Celebrated my 24th birthday with my close friends yesterday. We had dinner at Hard Rock Cafe and yup as i mentioned before in one of my previous post, its my virgin experience there! Well nothing fantastic about the place, nothing fanciful, nothing unique, nothing beautiful lol. The place was filled with Caucasians though. And while dining there, we all realised that i wasn't the only one celebrating his/her birthday there that night, there were at least 3 other people sharing that special day with me haha. But i must comment that the food there is not too bad at all. I had some sort of a chicken with macaroni cheese dish which i couldn't finish in the end.

Biker couple Dave and Teri came for around half an hour before they had to go off to 'meet the parents'. Dave came holding a big Nike plastic bag containing a nice Nike shoe box..i thought that was meant for me but when presenting to me my gift..they took out a much smaller Nike plastic bag instead haha. They had bought me a running singlet knowing how athletic and fit i've been lately thanks guys! Haha! Oh and thanks to my poly buds namely Valencia, Kheng Hong, Henry, Meiwen and Sham, i am now a proud owner of a brand new Crumpler Sling bag!

It was supposed to be a farewell shot in front of Hard Rock but the passerby that took it put my camera to Video Mode. The video turned out to be really hilarious though!

After dinner, we all went to Mt Faber's Jewel Box Altivo Bar. They didn't bring me there for the atmosphere nor the live band nor anything else, they just wanted to get me high and probably drunk. I was given 2 waterfalls courtesy of Puss and Wayniest, 1 lamborghini no thanks to Eunice and husband, 1 tequila shot thanks to Kheng Hong and 1 frustration thanks to Henry. In case you don't know what frustration is, its some cold beer mixed with some other shitty alcohol, it smelled and tasted like cough syrup, you will seriously feel frustration after drinking that lol. Actually both the lamborghini and waterfall tasted like cough syrup too. So can you imagine after drinking so much cough mixture that night, i'm still actually coughing now! Lol. After taking the first drink which was the waterfall, my stomach was on fire, i could feel all the blood rushing upwards towards my head. After the lamborghini and the 2nd waterfall, my world started to spin, i felt so hot you could have cooked an egg on my face...i looked like a tomato. This was when i was called up on stage by the live band together with this other birthday boy Daniel. The band's simple request was for us to get a girl to slow dance with us while they sang the song Wonderful Tonight. Daniel had no problem finding a girl because his girlfriend was there that night. In the end, Eunice was picked by the singer from the band to dance with me. I hope her husband didn't mind! Haha. Anyway that wasn't all, after the dance, Kheng Hong had to toast me with another Tequila shot when my world was already having a super duper earthquake richter scale 10! After the last drink, i really didn't want any more, i told myself inside my heart i'll abstain from alcohol for the rest of my life haha. But the fact that i actually managed to remember so much details despite drinking so much shows that i was perfectly sober that night! I'm good!

Thanks Kheng Hong for one last toast!

At the end of the night, Philadel and Weijian had to drive my car for me. Then came disaster. I burped and the taste of the cough syrup reappeared, it was the last straw, i couldn't take it anymore, i just puked...and of all place...in my poor Jazzabel! I would like to apologise to Phil, Wayniest and Henry who were in the car at that time with me, it was embarrassing, it was smelly, it was sticky, it was dirty, it was plain disgusting. Thats exactly how i felt although it was my own puke...it must have been worse for them haha. I really felt for my car after that...i used to even fuss when i have the smell of food in my car..and now! Arghh!

Anyway, they sent me home for a bath and a change of clothes after that. While rinsing my mouth with listerine, i almost puked again..it had the taste of alcohol haha. Anyway, i stayed over at Weijian's house that night. I slept on his carpet with his sleeping bag. You would have expected me to get a really nice sleep after all that drinking but nope, i slept at 4am and woke up around 9.40am after someone smsed. I couldn't get back to sleep anymore after that. Fortunately, there wasn't any hangover or anything for me. Life was back to normal again. I then went on to play soccer in the afternoon only to find out there that the opponents had gone to the wrong pitch.

All in all, i would really like to thank all those that spent this wonderful special day with me namely Puss, Weijian, Philadel, Valencia, Kheng Hong, Shawn, Henry, Darien, Sham, Dave, Teri, Eunice, Ryan, Jackie and Mag! Although it didn't end off too nicely (at least for me), i really did enjoy myself thoroughly. Thanks for the presents, thanks for the presence, thanks for the hugs and kisses and last but not least thanks for the drinks! But! No more next year!
